Following a recent grading at the Carnalea Karate Club, there was much to celebrate as many local students achieved their next belt under the watchful eye of world champion, David Brashaw.

Results were as follows:

Red Belt: Poppy Harkin.

Yellow & White belt: Kate Keenan, Courtney Majury, Sarah Keenan, Curtis Shaw, Sean Keenan.

Yellow belt: Gary Boyd, Dale McCall, Conor Porter, Savannah Romein, Sarah Shields, GT Wright, Sophie Stewart.

Yellow & Orange belt: Rihannon Wells, Charlie Edgar, Christopher & Charlotte Munro.

Orange belt: Alex & Natalie Gaw, Andrew Wilson, Sara Sinnerton.

Green & white belt: Craig Brashaw.

Green belt: Claire McPeake.

Green & Blue belt: Sarah Brashaw

Blue belt: Levi Kane

2nd Brown belt: Laura Ackerman

Special congratulations should go to Laura Ackerman for achieving her second brown belt and taking a much closer step to the coveted black belt.

Meanwhile David Brashaw has just returned from being guest instructor at a weeks summer camp in Bundoran, Co Donegall where he lined up to coach beside leading Japanese masters from around the world.  The course was a fantastic success and was attended by over 100 students each day.
