Kicking Christmas

Last Saturday there was a Christmas Party with a difference as the karate kids, some little and some not so little, let their hair down at Carnalea Methodist Centre.

The party kicked off with some basic team balloon races. This was followed by an ‘It's a Knockout' relay race which demanded the utmost skill, balance and determination. Certainly the younger students proved much more adaptable than some of the older ones.

The last competition ‘Stick in the Mud Shadow Warriors' was followed by the arrival of a very special guest from the North Pole. He was warmly greeted by all of the karate kids, especially the big ones.

He even managed to find special presents for two of the parents who have been helping the club with various activities, Leigh Shields and Linda Kane.

All in all the party was a great success, and leads nicely into the Christmas break. The club will return again on Tuesday 3 rd January 2006. New Year Calendar
